What to Expect

From first call to protected home, here is how a HomeClub installation works: a free assessment, a professional installation that typically takes about 2.5 hours, and an Installation Certificate in your inbox the day the job is done.

Step 1: your free assessment

A HomeClub pro visits your home, checks your main water line, water heater, and shutoff access, and confirms your line size. You get written pricing before any work begins - and if everything checks out, your assessment can convert to installation in the same visit. If you are dealing with an active water loss, we respond same-day.

Because we assess first, there are no surprises on installation day: anything beyond the standard installation is identified at the assessment and quoted in writing. You decide before anyone touches a pipe.

How to prepare

Know where your main water shutoff is - typically where the main line enters your home, in the garage, a closet, or outside near the foundation - and make sure the area around it is accessible. Have your smartphone handy along with your home Wi-Fi network name and password for app setup. An adult 18 or older should be present for the appointment.

Step 2: installation day

Your HomeClub technician arrives in your scheduled appointment window. Installation of the FlowSmart valve on your main line typically takes about 2.5 hours, with no electrical work required: the valve is battery powered, and the small wireless hub plugs in anywhere convenient. Before we leave, we test the automatic shutoff, help you set up the app on your own account, confirm alerts reach your phone, and clean up the work area.

If something unexpected comes up

If we find a concealed condition during the work, we stop, show you what we found, and provide a written quote for any change. Work continues only with your approval. The full details live in our Terms and Conditions at homeclubinc.com/terms.

Step 3: after your installation

Payment is collected at completion, and your Installation Certificate is issued the same day - emailed to you, and, with your OK, to your insurance agent. From that moment your home is protected around the clock: every alert goes to your phone, and the valve shuts the water off automatically when a leak pattern appears, even when nobody is home.

The optional HomeClub membership adds an annual inspection, a priority 24-hour emergency line, and fixed-price repairs for $29.99 a month, month to month - and it is never a condition of installation.

What the system needs from your home

Working home internet for the wireless hub, a powered spot for the hub itself, and your smartphone for the app. The valve runs on its own battery - rated for up to 10 years - so it keeps working through power outages.
